        Edward Holman Jr. (1699-1743) was born in Cecil County, Maryland in 1699. He
        eventually purchased the remaining half of the Biman land in Cecil County that his dad had
        owned. He became a tobacco farmer and owned six Negro slaves. Edward remained unmarried
        unti11734 when he married Rosetta Van Sandt (1716-1760), the first cousin of Aaltje 0lshe
        Van Sandt, and the daughter of Joris George Van Sandt (1687-1755) and Maike Mary
        Vandergrift (1689-1760). At the time of their marriage, Edward Jr. was 35 years old and his
        wife Rosetta (or her Dutch name Resultah) Van Sandt was 18 years old. They had three sons,
        Henry (1735-1789), George (1737-1832), and Edward Dolman III (1741-1816). Edward Jr.
        died at the age of 44 on September 11, 1743. Rosetta would marry twice more before her death
        in 1760 in Kent County, Maryland.
