Jacob Troutman, the son of Peter and Anna Maria Troutman, was born in 1764. On
February 5, 1786, Jacob married Anna Maria Hutsel (1760-1849) in the newly built
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick, Maryland. Jacob appears to have been the black
sheep in the family. His father, Peter Troutman, left: his vast fortune to seven of his eight
children. To Jacob, he left: "one hundred cents only for reasons known to myself." Jacob and his
wife, Anna Maria Hutsel, lived near his dad which was located north of Fayette County and
across the line into Bourbon County. They had three children. Catharina Troutman was born
on June 27, 1786 in Frederick County, Maryland, and moved with the Troutman family to
Bourbon County, Kentucky in 1790 or 1791. The names of their other children were Peter
(1788-1858) and Rebecca (1800-). Jacob died in 1834 and Anna Maria died on March 24, 1849
        in Bourbon County, Kentucky.
