        Richard Maris (1672-1747) and Elizabeth (Hayes) Maris (1672-1720) were the
        parents of Mary Maris. Richard was born in Inkborough, Worcestershire, England on November 20, 1672 and died in Springfield, Delaware, Pennsylvania on March 8, 1747. Elizabeth was
        born in Marple, Delaware, Pennsylvania in 1672 and died on August 2, 1720 in Springfield. Her parents were Jonathan Hayes (1644-l715) and Ann Williamson (1657-1722), both from
        Cheshire, England, and were married in Cheshire on January 4, 1674. They emigrated from
        England in 1683 and settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
