        Anna's parents, Abraham (1707-1754) and Frances Miller, were married sometime
        before 1730 and had seven children. In 1740 the Abraham family arrived in Maryland. They
        were one of the earliest settlers in the Monocacy Valley and were financially very well off. He
        and his five children were naturalized in Frederick County, Maryland, on May 3, 1740.
        Abraham was a Mennonite and operated three mills. Both Abraham and his wife died in 1754.
