        Edward Holman Sr. (1673-1705) was born in Kent County Maryland in 1673 and died on November 14, 1705 in Cecil County, Maryland. He owned 100 acres or one-half of the
        "Biman" land in Cecil County at the "Crossroads", i.e., at the junction of colonial-era roads to
        Chestertown, Delaware, and Philadelphia. There is no record of the name of his wife, but she
        and Edward Sr. were the parents of Edward Jr. who was born in 1699. Many family
        researchers list Margaret Rownd as his mother, but this is highly questionable since she is
        reported to have died in 1662.
