Bensalem in 1724. Mary Maris was born in 1705. They had ten children including a son named
Samuel who was born in Bensalem on October 3, 1725. All oftheir children were baptized at
the First Dutch Reform Church. James died at the age of74 on December 20, 1759 and buried in
Beechwood Cemetery located in Hulmeville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. His wife, Mary,
survived comfortably on what he bequeathed to her. She died on April 23, 1771.
