Aunt Ruth (Jan 10, 1904 - Jan 24, 1979) had a son named Bill (1941 -). Bill lived with
my grandparents in Pontiac, Illinois when grandpa Jack Fields died. Bill now lives with his wife Karen, and two children in Mission Viago, Orange County, California. Aunt Ruth worked as a
ticket agent for the Rapid Transit Lines in Chicago. She and my mom shared many times
together; they were close companions. Aunt Ruth was noted for being late for all occasions.
She did try to keep my mom honest in her story telling, but failed to convince us of her true age. Mom insisted that she was ten years younger than my dad, not six years younger. In 1948, Aunt
Ruth married Peter Lee and he graciously adopted Bill as his son.
