        Francis Hardesty (1790-1880) was born in Fayette County, Kentucky, On October 20,
        1810, he married Catharina Troutman (1786-1860), They had thirteen children. Elizabeth
        Hardesty (1814-1911) was their second child. Francis lived and ran a tavern in Fayette County
        with his dad, Benjamin Hardesty. Catharina died sometime before 1860. Francis lived to be 90
        years old when he died in May 1880.
